Seattle's Best

I stumbled upon Minus the Bear one night while drunk, online, and armed with a newly acquired credit card. I wont bother with the trivial details of my journey, but i ended up at  http://www.suicidesqueeze.net, a seattle based label who happens to have recently signed this amazingly rad band. Minus the Bear has some well respected local talent in its bear clutches with former Kill Sadie drummer Erin Tate (who is so fashionably sensitive it makes me mad-crazy), guitarist Dave Knudson from Botch, and superhuman producer/engineer/keyboard guru Matt Bayles (who hails from Connecticut, so not everything bad comes from here).

The name of their debut album, This is Is What I Know About Being Gigantic, was the first thing that got my attention cause thats my brand of humor.
With track titles like "Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked" and "Lemurs man, lemurs" i actually bought the record before listening because i was so busy wiping the tears from my eyes in glee.

now i'm pretty sure i'm in love.
and you will be too.

erin tate, the reason why drummers should never be ignored
