ok ok ok okay - its true. i love morrissey AND the smiths. with an intensity that could almost be described as "frightening" but ive accepted it, bought my 27 cd's and moved on.
i know that generally people associate moz/the smiths with wrist-cutting depression, but come on... most of their songs are surprisingly upbeat, oddly silly, and lyrically impeccable.
it goes without saying that if you like them, you'll go the fanatical route. salivating over every single import and poster, buying that $25 c.d. just cause it has ONE song that you dont have on it, buying $25 oscar wilde stationary off of ebay. feeling the horrible shame when it arrives and you realize - you have no gas in your car, no money and
you've really gone too far this time.
thats okay, morrissey will make you feel better about yourself.
